Here’s a thought that might challenge the way you see health: the only person who can get you better… is you.
That might sound strange in a world where healthcare often looks like something that’s “done to you.” You feel unwell, so you go to someone who gives you a pill or performs a procedure. And while those things can help, none of them actually heal you.
Your body does.
Right now, as you read this, your body is repairing, rebuilding, and renewing itself. Cells are breaking down and being replaced. You are a living, breathing, self-healing miracle.
That’s how it’s meant to work. But sometimes something gets in the way — what we in chiropractic call interference.
Your nervous system runs the whole show. When communication through that system is clear, your body functions beautifully. When it’s not, the message gets distorted — like static on a phone line. Chiropractic care helps remove that interference, allowing your body to do what it was designed to do: heal.
So as Self-Care Week rolls around, remember this: no one can heal you but you. Your chiropractor’s role is to help your body work better; your role is to create the conditions for healing — with movement, nutrition, gratitude, and rest.
Because true health isn’t something you chase. It’s something you nurture. And it starts with recognising the power already within you.
With love,
Tom
