Community Healing

We are often asked why we adjust in an ‘open’ environment. This week, I want to share the reasoning behind it and encourage you to take that understanding into our wider community to help improve the health of Lincolnshire.

Healing doesn’t happen in isolation—it’s a community effort. In indigenous cultures, the concept of a ‘tribe’ remains central, with everyone caring for each other. However, in Western culture, we’ve become increasingly isolated and insular. We rarely share our health concerns, talk about how we’re feeling, or ask for help.

While our open-plan environment isn’t about group sharing, it does provide an opportunity to see your peers, your community, and your friends on the same journey as you.

When we’re unwell, it’s easy to feel like we’re alone at the bottom of a dark pit, without hope or anyone to turn to. But this couldn’t be further from the truth. Many others are facing similar challenges, and the great news is, there’s always someone further along in their healing journey. If you can catch a glimpse of their progress and follow their lead, your chances of recovery improve dramatically.

This is where the open-plan environment becomes so powerful—it allows you to see others making progress, giving you hope, while also inspiring those who are just starting their journey.

So, the next time you come in for your adjustment, take a moment to say hello to the person next to you. Together, there’s a fantastic future awaiting.

And if you can bring this attitude of sharing health and hope to your wider community, the impact we can have on the health of Lincolnshire could be truly transformative.

My question to you this week is: Who have you told about Epoch today?

With love,

Tom
