Monday October 21st 6.30 - 7pm
“It’s been a tough year”; I do not know how many times I have said that or heard that recently. But nothing stops it from being the truth and we all want to change it.
We all want to get back to living our lives and loving what we do each day. We want the freedom and fulfilment and the joy in life!
Often though when we are looking for the things that bring us joy and happiness, we selfishly approach it, we ‘want’ the things we want. Unfortunately, this approach seldom works, we cannot ‘take’ from life, the world will not and does not thrive on a taking mentality.
What we need to do and should strive towards is giving. The question should be, “what can I give to life today?” “Who can I give love to, happiness to, or even just acknowledge?”
For it is in giving that we find true happiness, joy, and fulfilment.
So, as we may be looking at a bleak future, at least for the short term, it does not have to be so. We can reframe it, we have the potential to change it and we have the ability to bring joy, and happiness into our lives right now… how? By giving.
Gandhi said, ‘to find true happiness, one must lose themselves in the service of others’.
With ‘Random Act of Kindness Day’ upon us, what can you do for another without any expectation of return? How can you poor your energy, appreciation, and love into someone else this week?
It could be as simple as a smile, a hello, a compliment. Or it could be the offer of running the errands or paying for a coffee.
Whatever it is, do it with love and then see. Does the future really look that bad?
Here is to a happy, healthy, and loving future.
Happy Wednesday.
With love
Tom
