Happy New Year!

We made it! 2020 is here and what a year it is going to be. I am excited for you because I know that this year has the potential to be your healthiest year yet!

At Epoch we are dedicated to inspiring, educating and serving to enhance the quality of life in our communities. So, this year we aim to do that even better than last year.

And we know it all starts with you. Therefore, I would like to invite any suggestions or feedback as to how we can better serve you and make this possible.

I want to start the year and remind you of the three basic areas we all need to focus on to achieve great health.

You got it, the 3 Ts!!

Thoughts, Traumas and Toxins.

Don’t wait until tomorrow (the day that never comes) to start, let’s all start now. And to help you here are my BIG 3 starting points to kickstart your health journey this New Year!

1. Thoughts – take 5 minutes each day to think about all that you are grateful for, go a step further and write this down. It is impossible for anxiety and depression to exist at the same time that you are thankful. So, take a piece of paper and a pen and each morning spend 5 minutes in a state of gratitude.

2. Trauma – move, just move. Movement does so much for the body. It allows lymph to flow and remove toxins, it allows the heart to pump blood better and last longer, it stimulates our brain to be more active and reduces its decline and allows us to have time away from our busy lives and quiet the mind. Commit to just 10 mins a day walking. You can do it.

3. Toxins – water, it is as simple as that. Water is essential for life, if we don’t stay hydrated our body will start to become sick and this can lead to serious health concerns in the future. Just get a bottle, keep it with you and keep sipping, all day.

I know you can do this; simple consistent action is what is needed. Not always a big overhaul.

Let these actions be the framework to build upon and make 2020 your healthiest year!
