How’s your posture right now?
Go on – have a quick check. Are you hunched over your phone or slouched into the sofa like a sack of spuds? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. We all do it.
But here’s the kicker: poor posture doesn’t just make you look a bit wonky, it slowly chips away at your health. It’s the silent saboteur – causing headaches, back pain, fatigue, and even affecting how well your organs work. Yes, really!
When your spine is out of alignment, everything else has to compensate. That means tight muscles, stressed joints, and less oxygen getting to your brain. No wonder you feel tired and tense.
So what can you do?
Good posture starts with awareness. Shoulders back, chest open, chin tucked slightly – think “proud but relaxed.”
If you sit all day, get up every 30–45 minutes. Walk around, stretch, swing your arms. Movement is magic.
It’s your body’s scaffolding. Pilates, planks, or even regular walking will help you hold yourself better.
If your spine is stuck or misaligned (what we call a subluxation), no amount of sitting up straight will help until it’s corrected. It is time to see your chiropractor.
You only get one spine – take care of it. And remember, posture isn’t just how you look… it’s how your body feels and functions.
With love,
Tom
